Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad. The Tri-Community 2024 event was held on Dec. 14 at the Oracle Cemetery.

Members of the Pedro Reynoso VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Lodge and Auxiliary, and boards from Oracle Community Center and Oracle Cemetery joined other community members as they honored those who are serving, have served, or have given the ultimate sacrifice to their country in military service. It was a wonderful morning and a chance for attendees to be a part of the one million volunteers who participated in Wreaths Across America events.

Wreaths Across America’s mission touches the lives of thousands of school, scout, civic and religious groups across the country through fundraising for wreath sponsorships. These groups help ensure that they reach their goal to place a wreath on each hero’s grave. In return, they receive fundraising dollars that assist in furthering their own goals and projects.
