Gila County is pleased to announce an organizational change that will enhance the delivery of services to our community. The Gila County Health and Emergency Management Department and the Community Services Department have merged to form Gila County Public Health & Community Services. As part of this consolidation, Emergency Management will be establishing itself as the Gila County Division of Emergency Management, operating independently.

“One of our main goals is expanded access, and this merger unifies our delivery of a range of services to the community, addressing health needs and community development with an integrated approach.” said Josh Beck, Director of Gila County Public Health & Community Services.

Department Goals:

  • Unified Focus: The merger to become Gila County Public Health & Community Services creates a more unified focus on providing comprehensive health services and community support to the residents of Gila County.
  • Expanded Access: With the merger, our goal is to expand the range of services available to the community with a focus on addressing health and community needs.
  • Community-Centered Approach: Gila County Public Health & Community Services remains committed to a community-centered approach, engaging actively with residents and stakeholders to address evolving health and community challenges.

The consolidation of these two departments reflects our dedication to improving service delivery and addressing the evolving needs of Gila County residents. We believe these changes will strengthen our ability to serve the community effectively and look forward to the continued support and collaboration of our residents, partners, and stakeholders.
