Copper Street in Mammoth is much smoother now.
In the desert, water is life. In Mammoth, water is growth and Mammoth’s future.

Mammoth Mayor Ernest Bustamante
I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished together and look forward to keeping the momentum going. Thank you for your trust and support. Let’s keep Mammoth moving forward!
Growth in Mammoth starts with one key resource: water. That’s why completing our water distribution system has been a top priority.
Our system is made up of two pressure zones:
- North Zone – fed directly by our wells, with storage in Tank #2.
- South Zone – fed by our booster pump station, with storage in Tank #1.
I’m happy to report the booster pumps are now up and running, keeping steady pressure in places like Little Hollywood. Phase One is done!
Next up: We’ll retrofit the booster station by moving pumps above ground and adding a protective cover. The bidding process is starting soon.
Town Projects & Improvements
- Booster Pump Station – Phase One complete
- Copper Street road project finished, with new pavement and a fire hydrant
- Church Street cell phone tower completed
- Fire hydrant replaced at Riverside and Owens
- Highway 77 brush clearing has begun to improve visibility and safety (more work to come in phases)
Community Safety & Services
- Ambulance coverage renewed for all town residents
