
Wanda ‘Peggy’ Williams
Wanda “Peggy” Williams, 104, passed away on Dec. 31, 2025, in Tucson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Freman Williams; daughters and sons-in-law, Elsie and Jim Hoyack and Mabel and Johnnie Seballos; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Wiliams; grandchildren, Chuck Hoyack, Annette Seballos and Kristen Adams; and great-grandson, Quintin Barreto.
Peggy is survived by her sons, James (Loretta) and John Williams; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a devoted Catholic, belonging to St. Bartholomew’s in San Manuel and then Sacred Heart in Tucson. She volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul’s food bank for many years. At age 52, Peggy had to go to work after her husband passed. She went to work for San Manuel School District as a custodian, first at the elementary and then the high school. Peggy enjoyed sewing, baking, hiking, watching grandkids play sports and also traveling.
Services for Wanda Williams will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 601 E. Ft. Lowell Rd. in Tucson (85705) on Saturday, Jan. 24, starting at noon with the Rosary. Mass is at 12:30 p.m. Interment will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery and a reception will follow.
