Walter Clinton Jeffrey

  Walter Clinton Jeffrey, 77, passed away of natural causes on April 11, 2025, at his home in Apache Junction.

   He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jo Flowers Ogden Jeffrey, whom he was married to for 39 years. Also surviving him are his son, Tony Ogden, daughter, Keda Lynn (Mike) Jeffrey, and son, Rustin (Cherish) Medlock; grandsons, James Carl (Rae) Jeffrey, Clinton Wayne Harris, Caleb Jesse Medlock and Trenton Jeffrey Medlock; brother, Barney (April) Jeffrey, sister, Betty Vender, and brother, Robert (Karen) Jeffrey.

   Walter graduated Class of 1965 Superior High School and from 1966 to 1969 he served in the United States Army. He also attended Central Arizona College. Walter went on to work 16 years at Kennecott Copper Mine in Ray, then worked for McCarthy Construction during the building of the Brown Road water treatment plant in Mesa. After the construction project was completed, he began his career in 1985 with the City of Mesa Water Resources Department as a water plant maintenance specialist and spent the next 24 years maintaining the plant he helped build.

   Walter enjoyed metalworking, woodworking, mechanics, hunting, boating and loved spending time with friends and family.

   Services for Mr. Jeffrey will be held with Military Honors May 1 at 1 p.m. at Brown Road Baptist Church, located at 4801 E. Brown Rd. in Mesa. A reception will follow the Celebration of Life.
