It was a week of wins and losses for all four Copper Corridor volleyball teams.
Hayden Lady Lobos
The Lady Lobos had two matches on the volleyball court last week. They started off their week hosting San Manuel for a rematch from the following week. It was a match that went into five sets. The Lady Lobos came out with another win against the Miners 3-2.
The girls closed out their week with an away match at Superior. It was a tough time for the girls who suffered a tough 0-3 loss against the Lady Panthers.
The Lady Lobos will host Valley Lutheran to start their week, they will close out their week traveling to take on Patagonia Union.
Ray Lady ‘Cats
The Lady ‘Cats volleyball team kept busy last week. The girls hosted Duncan on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The girls won the first set 25-12, they won the second set 27-25, and the last set 25-19.
They closed out their week traveling to take on Cicero Prep. The girls suffered a tough 0-3 loss, with set scores of 5-25. 6-25, 10-25.
The girls closed out their week traveling and playing against San Simon [Score not available at press time; will be in next issue].
The girls will travel to San Manuel to start their week. They will host Desert Heights Prep on Thursday, Oct. 9. The Lady ‘Cats will close their week with a Saturday away game at San Carlos.
San Manuel Lady Miners
The Lady Miners volleyball team started last week traveling to take on Hayden. It was a tough game, and the girls were unable to claim the win, losing 2-3.
The girls closed out their week hosting Valley Lutheran. The Lady Miners claimed the win 3-1, with set scores; 25-16, 25-22, 12-25, and 25-19.
This week they will host Ray, then travel to take on Duncan.
Superior Lady Panthers
The Lady Panthers started last week playing against the Miami Vandals. The girls claimed a 3-1 win, with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 22-25, 25-13.
The girls closed out their week hosting Hayden. The Lady Panthers claimed a 3-0 win with set scores; 25-10, 25-18, and 25-11.
The girls will host Apache Junction, followed by Fort Thomas, and they will close out their week traveling to take on Valley Lutheran.
