
Hayden’s Summer Reading Program will kick off with a color run.
Summer is upon us! With the season comes some great events for the area.
The Town of Kearny will be hosting three Summer Programs for ages 5-12. Each program will be two weeks. They are also planning various movie nights and field days as well as their annual Independence Day Celebration. The Kearny Pool, unfortunately, will not be opening this summer due to repairs. The Hayden Library kicks off the Summer Reading Program with a Color Run which will be held June 4 at 4:30 p.m. They will also host “Research in Our Neck of the Woods” which will feature Lizards in the Library on June 11 at 4:30 p.m. In the month of June, they have a lot of fun events including different craft days such as Pinwheel Activities, Fiber Optic Peacock Lamps, Painting, Bracelet Making, Cooking Class and 4th of July wreaths. In July, they will host more craft days such as Handprint art, Stitch Book, Kaleidoscopes, and String Art. They will host an Adult Bingo night on July 10 and will wrap up the Summer Reading Program with a party and a Tug-of-war competition.
