Two Copper Corridor volleyball teams began the 2024 season this week with the other two set to start Wednesday.

The Hayden volleyball team opened its season on Aug. 28 with a home game against Dischii’bikoh. The Lady Lobos put up a fight but were unable to claim any match wins. The game ended with a 0-3 loss for the girls.

They will hit the court again on Friday, Sept. 6, against Bagdad at home.

The Lady ‘Cats volleyball team hosted Dishchii’bikoh to open its season on Aug. 29.

The girls were able to come out on top with 3 match wins, while Dishchii’bikoh couldn’t best the Lady ‘Cats. The match scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-20.

Ray hosted Globe on Sept. 3. Results from this game were unavailable at press time.  They will play at San Tan Foothills on Sept. 5.

San Manuel makes its season debut Sept. 4 with an away game against Patagonia Union. Superior heads to the Small School Invitational Sept. 4 for its first foray into the 2024 Volleyball Season.
