Superior Little League kicked off the 2025 season with a parade down Main Street. The family of Marshall “Marchelo” Tomerlin served as Grand Marshals. The parade highlighted all 12 teams.
The celebration continued at the Superior Little League where Baxter from the Arizona Diamondbacks joined the celebration. Baxter shook hands, hugged and high-fived every player and coach in attendance. The National Anthem was sung by Claire Martinez from East Valley Voice. Tanya Tomerlin, mother of Marshall Tomerlin, threw out the first pitch to start the first game of the season,
The Arizona Diamondbacks provided all the baseball and softball teams with high-quality jerseys and hats at no cost through their D-backs’ Give Back Youth Jersey Program.
