T-Mobile announced this week that Superior Junior/Senior High School in Superior is one of 16 schools across the country to receive a $25,000 grant as part of the company’s “T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights” competition which launched in early August.
Centered in a small mining town east of the Phoenix, the Superior Panthers understand the hard work and determination it takes to lead their community to victory. The Panthers hope to use the $25,000 award to help with upgrades to the fields, lights and a new weight room which would make a huge impact on the school and community.
“We are grateful and excited to be a finalist for this generous opportunity T-Mobile has provided for Superior Junior/Senior High School and the community,” Billy Duarte, Principal/Athletic Director, Superior Junior/Senior High School.
The school and T-Mobile hosted a special celebration at the home football game Friday, Oct. 11. There were games, giveaways and free food at the concession stands.
