Superior’s Youth Basketball Teams had an exciting and memorable weekend, filled with energy, competition and hometown pride. Playing right here in our own community made the experience even more special — a true win for our young athletes and supporters.

Saturday, Feb. 22, Superior was proudly represented by seven co-ed basketball teams and one outstanding cheer team, all showcasing remarkable dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm both on the court and the sidelines.

A successful program like this would not be possible without the support of dedicated individuals and organizations.

“We are thankful for the support of Resolution Copper funding this program to increase activities for youth,” said Recreation Coordinator Alicia Cruz.

“Additionally, we extend our appreciation to the School District for providing the facilities that made this event possible and to our devoted volunteer coaches, Lisa & Julian with Community Schools, for their time, effort, and dedication to guiding these young athletes,” Alicia added. “Most importantly, thank you to the families, friends, and fans who came out to cheer on our teams. Your support helps make these programs a success and reinforces the positive impact they have on our community. Go Team Superior!”
