On Thursday, Jan. 8, the San Manuel wrestling program hosted a girls jamboree, welcoming in girls teams to come get a couple matches in.
Alongside San Manuel’s girls team there was Hayden, Benson, Tombstone, Pima and St. Augustine.
San Manuel’s Sienna Taylor won all five of her matches. Aaliyah Anaya won both of her two matches that she wrestled. Maya Madrid and Annie Nemons both suffered two losses each: Nemons against St. Augustine and Benson and Madrid against Pima and Benson.
Hayden had Ariana Arbizo and Penelope Cruz wrestle against each other, with Arbizo claiming the win by decision. Destiney Lacey suffered two losses during her matches against two different Pima wrestlers.
