On Saturday, March 1, 2025, the Copper Basin Junior Chamber of Commerce, along with Chairperson Emilia Rutledge and Co-Chair Aleynia Boatman, hosted the traditional fashion show for the 63rd annual Pioneer Day Royalty Hopefuls. This is the second year Emilia and Aleynia have organized the event.
The girls competed in three categories: casual, formal and, of course, western wear. Each girl walked the runway with positivity and poise, showing what true role models for other girls in the community should, and showing that every female is beautiful in their own skin.
Between categories, the Junior Chamber hosted a free raffle for all attendees. Four prizes were given away.
After the fashion show, each girl gave a speech on “What do having roots mean to you.” The girls then explained why being part of the Copper Basin area is important in their lives, as well as their families, their family traditions, and friends, and why all of these are staples to help shape each person into who they are destined to become.
Winners of the fashion show will be announced at the crowning for these hopefuls on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Pioneer Park Ramada. Please come out and show your support and celebrate these amazing girls and all they have accomplished.
