Robert “Bobby” Celis Real passed away Sept. 24, 2019.
Bobby was born in Ray, Arizona on Jan. 11, 1953. His early years he grew up in his beloved Sonora before his family moved to Superior. Bobby attended Superior Schools before he began his mining career. In 1971, he started at Kennecott Copper Mine and worked in mining until his retirement from Asarco in 2002.
Bobby married Margie Denogean in 1971. They raised their children Robby and Chrissy in Superior. Bobby was very active in his community. Among other things, he took pride in his involvement with Project Happy Face, his years volunteer coaching and umpiring for Superior Little League and his 25 years with the Superior Fire Department.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Margie; children, Robby (Ruby) and Chrissy; grandchildren, Michael, Lisa (Sean), Matthew and Jailyn; great-granddaughter, Lyanna; mother, Elsa; siblings, Veronica (Richard), Danny (Linda), Michael (Laura) and David (Priscilla); extended Denogean family, his godchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved Sydney (aka Monkey).
He is preceded in death by his father, Cosme.
Bobby will be dearly missed.
