The Superior Enterprise Center has announced that there will be a registration event on Wednesday, June 18, at the HIVE at the Superior Enterprise Center.  The event will begin at 5 p.m.  There will be four welding classes offered this semester, the classes will begin on Aug. 18, 2025, and will continue through Dec. 6, 2025, when the semester ends. The Superior Enterprise Center is located at 98 High School Ave.

  Courses do require students to register through Central Arizona College. Classes are free for participants due to economic development funding from Resolution Copper to support the program.  There is a small $100 fee for the Introduction to Metal Arts class, which covers the costs of the metal consumables for this zero credit course.  Residents throughout the Copper Corridor are eligible to take these courses at no charge.

  The courses will be offered at the Superior Enterprise Center in Superior.  Classes offered this semester are:

• Welding 110 which is an introductory course on the fundamentals and safety of welding.  This is a three-credit course.  The class will be offered on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

• Welding 115 is a five-credit course and is an introduction to welding concepts and the National Center for Construction Education and Research core curriculum.  This course will be offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5-9 p.m.

• Welding 222 is a three-credit course and will focus on the short circuiting, spraying, globular transferring of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and flux cored welding.  This course will be offered on Wednesdays 12:30-4:30 p.m.

• Introduction to Metal Art is a zero-credit course and is offered 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays.  This course provides an introduction to the identification and use of the primary steel cutting and welding processes.  This class allows participants to express their creative side.  There is a $100 fee to cover the cost of consumables.

  These courses are offered through partnerships and collaborations with the Town of Superior, Rebuild Superior Inc, Resolution Copper and Central Arizona College.
