Raul Garcia

  Raul (Ruly) Garcia, 71, passed on from natural causes on Jan. 13, 2019 from natural causes.

  Ruly is survived by his wife, Gloria; sons, Ruly and Michael Joshua; grandchildren, Anissa (Nathaniel), Jacob Raul, Raul John, Alexis Eva and Alvaro Genesis; great-grandson, Noah Nathaniel; his mother, Vickie; brothers, Ray, Jesse, Pete, Benito (Anthonette), Frank (JoAnna), Guayo (Sylvia), Louie and Pach; sisters, Diana (Mark) and Chacha; father-in-law, Anacleto Olmos, plus an extensive family and friends.
 

He graduated from Superior High School in 1966 and attended Central Arizona College. In 1967, he was drafted and served for two years in the Army, with a tour of duty in Vietnam.

  Ruly was an underground Copper Miner for Magma Copper Company in Superior where his chit number was 768; a Painter of the Apache Attack Helicopter for McDonnell Douglas, Mesa, AZ; and, ended his career as a security guard for Allied Security.

He enjoyed family vacations, that included trips to many U.S. states such as California, New York, Nevada, Hawaii, Alaska and Washington plus many cities and beaches in Mexico.

Ruly was known for his kind heart and generosity. He was kind of quiet, but once he got to know you, you were friends for life. He loved cruising the streets of Superior and one of his first cars was a yellow 1967 Camaro. In his later years, his cruising included checking in on his mom and his father-in-law daily.

Services will be held at Community Church, 5013 E. Broadway Road in Mesa on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. to be followed by 2 p.m.  burial at National V.A. Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix. Reception to follow at family home in Gilbert.
