Roger Naylor

Discover the scenic wonders and cultural treasures of Arizona with award-winning Arizona travel writer and advocate Roger Naylor for April’s 2nd Friday program at Bullion Plaza Cultural Center & Museum in Miami. This free program starts at 6:30pm on Friday, April 11.

His new book, “Arizona National Parks and Monuments: Scenic Wonders and Cultural Treasures of the Grand Canyon State,” is his comprehensive guide to 34 national parks in Arizona, including nearby Tonto National Monument and the Arizona National Scenic Trail. His descriptive style will take those attending the 2nd Friday program on a journey of the imagination.

“We hike, bike, kayak, ride mules, bounce down dirt roads, slither through slot canyons, and camp under skies dripping with stars. All that adventure is yours with this new book,” says Naylor.

Roger has been “swoony in love” with Arizona since arriving as a college student many years ago. For decades he has explored his adopted state while writing about his discoveries for the Arizona Republic, USA Today, The Guardian, Country Magazine, Arizona Highways, and many more. He was inducted into the Arizona Tourism Hall of Fame in 2018, and for those who have been on the Verde Canyon Railroad, he is the narrator on the train.

Copies of Roger’s new book will be available for purchase.

Round Mountain Baking Co. will be around with coffee and cookies for purchase.
