The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin paving work on State Route 77 in two separate areas on Aug. 1.

The work is expected to continue over the next month. Expect lane restrictions between Eagle Crest Ranch Boulevard and South Willow Springs Road near Oracle Junction, as well as between East American Avenue and East Bentwood Street near Oracle/Mammoth.

Most work will take place Monday through Friday between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.

One lane will be paved at a time in rotating directions. Motorists can expect delays, a reduced speed limit and uneven pavement. Pilot cars will be used to lead vehicles through when only one lane is open.

Crews will be operating large milling machines to grind out existing pavement and heavy rollers to compact new pavement.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
