On July 7, the Pinal Rural Fire/Medical District received a donation of more than 190 boxes of personal care and residential maintenance products from the Amazon Distribution Center in Tucson, items such as laundry soap, car care products, men’s and women’s toiletries, toys, diapers and other infant care items.
This donation was received in partnership with Safety Fuego’s First Responders WISH LIST Foundation. First Responders WISH LIST Foundation is a non-profit corporation that supports small rural and volunteer departments to obtain surplus equipment from large public safety departments and fulfills the WISH LIST request from the smaller communities through the non- profit program. These communities are located throughout southern Arizona and northern Mexico.
The Pinal Rural Fire/Medical District repacked boxes of the donated items and shared them with surrounding Volunteer Fire Departments located in Oracle, San Manuel, Kearny, Hayden and Winkelman.
“These are high quality products that will help many families in need in Pinal County. I am very thankful for the help and donations that both Amazon and Safety Fuego have provided for the residents of Pinal County. It is uplifting to hear some good news and be able to share with the community in new ways,” said Bobby Apodaca, Fire Chief of Pinal Rural Fire District.
