The apostle Paul in his letter to the Philippians (4:9) says to us: “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” In Luke 8:21 Jesus says that those who hear God’s Word are to put it into practice.

Colossians 3:17 tells us – “whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

The failure to practice the things of God only results in frustration and anxiety. There is a tendency to go backwards in your sense of direction and life purpose. Also, earthly things are of no heavenly value.

You are to set your heart and mind on the things of heaven, instead of on earthly things. This is done by practicing what God has revealed to your heart. It will fill your heart with joy and peace as His blessings help you to fulfill your life purpose.
