The Superior Panthers football team will kick off its season Friday, Aug. 20. The Panthers will travel to Desert Heights Prep for their first game under a new head coach, Joshua Denhalter. The Panthers are a relatively young team with one senior, five juniors, seven sophomores, and four freshman.

During the 2020-21 school year, Superior went 6-1, only losing once to Williams. Last season Superior faced off against Desert Heights Prep during their fifth game, and the Panthers walked away with a giant 56-12 final score. If the boys start out strong like they did for the 2020-21 season, they will have a good chance at repeating their success, with hopes of a perfect record for this season.

Kick off is at 7 p.m.

Superior will host Duncan on Aug. 27 for the first home game of the season.
