The fourth-ranked Superior softball team has won six of its last seven games, including five-straight following wins against Duncan and 10th-ranked Hayden last week. The only setback in the last seven was a 1 – 0 loss to top-ranked Ray.
The Pantherettes third-straight win during the streak was a 20 – 1 mercy-rule win against Valley Union on Mar. 29.
Superior pounded out 24 hits, including eight doubles – two each by Lindsay Ketron, Juliana Navarro and Marisa Estatico – in a game that 12 Pantherettes had hits. Marlee Estatico, Ketron, Navarro, and Marisa Estatico led the way with three hits apiece while Anisah Cardenas, McKenna Duarte, Korinna Romero, and Makayla Martinez finished with two hits each. Navarro had a game-high four RBIs.
On the mound, Duarte and freshman Danika Bryant combined to allow one run on two hits with 10 strikeouts and three walks.
