What is really going on in San Manuel? Be a part of the candy conspiracy

San Manuel, Arizona– There are places and times when great events transpire. Sometimes, the places are quiet and the events seemingly unassuming, but, the impact they bring can be far reaching as covert activities lead to planned assaults on the populace.

Halloween is such a time that inspires some minds to turn to thoughts that they would not ordinarily entertain and to actions that even they would see as madness on a more ordinary day.

People like to say, “That sort of thing doesn’t happen here.” The fact is, though, that not only can it happen in our community, but, it is happening. While others are making innocent plans for indoor parties and costume contests, there are some among us who are making other sort of plans for their own version of Halloween celebration.

Imagine a small group of people meeting in secret, making their plans that will affect not only their own family and neighbors, but, the effects of which will reach out and curl the neighboring communities in the grip of what they have wrought due to their clandestine machinations. Imagine the innocent children whose lives will be touched as they are lured to a certain area, at a certain time, with promises of sweet delights, only to find open car trunks and masked men waiting …

Now, imagine it being the San Manuel Rotary Trick or Trunk event, planned and executed to bring delight to young and old children, alike, from the surrounding Tri-Community on Saturday, Oct. 31 in San Manuel.

Do you want to be part of the candy conspiracy? If so, call Karri Martz at 520-250-0198, or, join the San Manuel Rotary at their 7 a.m, Wednesday meeting at the Sun Life Health Center.
