Last week Superior Police Department received a report from a volunteer at the Caboose Visitor Center at the US 60 Park that the mining history display has been knocked over by vandals. Copper Area News posted a live video on Facebook that generated much outrage and offers to help. On Friday, Danny Stevenson from Southwest Tire and 24 Hour Towing offered up his services to the Town of Superior to repair the damages made by the vandals. Danny and his crew returned the ore carts to an upright position and welded them securely into place on the railroad tracks on the display. Anyone having information on the vandalism are asked to call police to report it. Citizens can call Silent Witness at 1-800-358-INFO, Crime Stop at 689-5611 or the Information Tip Line at 520-827-0065 if they have information that may help the police department.
