If you are a crafter, collector or have items you want to sell, this Saturday, Oct. 22, is a good time to bring your wares to the Chamber sponsored Swap Meet and Farmers Market.  The venue has changed to the GKI patio beginning at 4 p.m.  There is a $10 fee, with a drawing among the booth participants for half of the fees collected.  One a month has been planned until April (Nov. 19, Dec 10).

The Great Pumpkin Trunk or Treat will be held Oct. 29 on Alden Rd.  Decorate your vehicle or prepare a booth and join in the fun.  The newly formed Junior Chamber will be hosting the Great Pumpkin which has been an annual event in Kearny since 1961. As soon as the prizes have been awarded for the costumes in each age group the children may then go to the various booths for their treats.  Halloween on Oct. 31 is for neighborhood trick or treating.

The Vaches at NAPA  are hosting the K-Town Car Show Saturday, Nov. 5, along with the Fall Festival formerly known as Oktoberfest.  This is a great time for Crafters and collectors to join in the fun.  A great number of cars are expected to enter and families come with them and are always looking for something to do and a craft fair is just what they are looking for.  There will be a Poker Run, a Poker Walk, raffles all day long, hot dog eating contest and the ever famous pie eating contest which last year was more fun for the adults than the youth.

Remember the Ray–Hayden football games on Thanksgiving Day?  This year the Chamber is hosting a Turkey Bowl with a male Ray vs Hayden Slow pitch game and a female fast pitch game.   Start gathering your team members and get ready for a fun filled time before Turkey dinner.

The date everyone has been waiting for: Pioneer Days will be held March 16-19 with a theme of Heroes and Villains.  We will have a new carnival  which will be revealed after careful consideration.

Contact Angela Hillian Ramirez at the Chamber office, 520-363-7607,  for more information on the above mentioned activities and especially if you want to volunteer your services.

Shades of orange and green signify Fall is here, come out and join the fun.
