Javy Tamayo and Caleb Quintero combined for 29 points in San Manuel’s 51 – 38 victory at San Miguel on Jan. 9.
Quintero, a sophomore, finished with game-high 15 points to go along with four rebounds, an assist and a steal. Tamayo, also a sophomore, added 14 points, a rebound, a game-high six assists, and three steals.
Junior Louis Chavez led the Miners with seven rebounds in addition to scoring eight points in the win, the Miners’ 11th of the season. Chavez was also a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe in the game.
