Employees of the month
At the May Superior School District Governing Board meeting, Superintendent Steve Estatico recognized the food service staff as the employees of the month. He explained the that the staff is responsible for feeding the students and staff at the school and he commended them for finding creative ways to create healthy breakfasts and lunches, especially when the gas lines were out for a few weeks this spring.
The staff members recognized as employees of the month were Mary Macias, Jessica Sanchez and Melissa Perez. Random Boutique, Porters Cafe and the Boyce Thompson Arboretum donated gift certificates and admissions to the employee of the month recipients.
Mila Besich is a resident of Superior with two children. She volunteers for many local organizations. She is an experienced fundraiser and event planner for Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition. She covers some of the area town councils and schools.
