Superior VFW celebrates Memorial Day, inducts new officers

The Superior VFW George Truman Post 3584 hosted its annual Memorial Day celebration by remembering those who gave their lives serving their country.

This year in addition to their traditional ceremony the post they inducted their new leadership for the year. The VFW Commander is Jim Ridenhour, and the Quartermaster is Michael Montiel. The leadership for the ladies auxiliary is President Deb Townsend, Vice President Sandy Graham, Jr. Vice President is Joy Eveland, Secretary/Treasurer is Kimi Minor and Chaplain is Wendy Waggoner.

The post is planning many new improvements including re-decorating the hall to display military memorabilia of local service members. Those wishing to contribute items for the display should contact the Quartermaster, Michael Montiel at 480-272-3786.

The post bar is open Friday-Monday, 3 p.m. to midnight.
