Superior –  Baseball has been known as ‘The Great American Past Time’ for longer than most anyone reading this article has been alive. LIttle League Baseball and Softball have been played for roughly 75 years, giving neighbors throughout America the opportunity to come together in fun social activities that provide a healthy outlet for the energy of children.

On Monday, April 18, Superior Little League will be holding its Opening Day ceremonies. Superior Little League was established in 1952, and, has been teaching local children hand-eye coordination, while they are also learning  about sportsmanship, teamwork, self-reliance and how to have a good time in a way that brings pride to their community ever since.

At 4:30 p.m. the Little League Parade will start at the Superior courthouse and travel to the Catholic Church on Main Street, followed by the Closing ceremonies for T Ball at the Little League field, beginning at 5 p.m. The award ceremony for the 2015 District 4 Senior Softball champs will come next. The Opening ceremony for the regular Superior LIttle League 2016 season will be held directly before the first game of season, which will begin at 5:30 p.m.
