The Superior Junior High Robotics team competed this past weekend at a regional competition. The team placed third out of 34 teams. The third place finish qualified the team to compete at the state competition at Arizona State University this weekend. They will compete against 60 other teams from around the state. The team also won the best robot design award. This is the first time that the junior high robotics team has attended the state competition.
The team is coached by Arlynn Godinez who volunteers as a sponsor. Resolution Copper Mining provides the funding necessary for the team to participate each year as part of their commitment to investing in local education.
