Superior High DECA brings home awards

  The Superior High School DECA chapter recently brought home two awards from the state conference.

  Allison Martinez is the first student from SHS to qualify for the National DECA Conference.  Allison prepared a presentation which included a thirty page report and a fifteen minute presentation on the DECA sponsored “Fill the Bowl Event” which raises money for the Superior Food Bank each year.   Allison is a Junior at Superior High School and is actively involved in her studies and school clubs including DECA.  She will travel to Nashville next month to compete in the National DECA competition.

  Kassandra Baltierra, a Junior at Superior High School, placed in her role play competition and earned a medal in the state competition. 

  This is the first time that the Superior High School DECA club has earned medals competition at the state level.  The DECA club sponsor is Christine Martinez.

Mila Besich (471 Posts)

Mila Besich is a resident of Superior with two children. She volunteers for many local organizations. She is an experienced fundraiser and event planner for Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition. She covers some of the area town councils and schools.
