Dora Lopez ‘superheroed’ up the window at Superior Superhero Stuff.

The store front window of Superior Superhero stuff got a makeover last week when Superior Resident and Artist Dora Lopez decorated the window with super hero symbols. The store is getting ready for May 6, Free Comic Book Day. The comic book store is one of thousands across the country that is participating in the event, and during the event, over six million comic books will be given away to fans.

Laura Rivas, Manager of Superior Superhero Stuff says, “Free Comic Book Day is a great event for the whole community. Bringing everyone together. Comics are a fun and enduring form of entertainment for readers of all ages to dive into as imagination comes to life. Whether it be popular comics, film, television shows, or video games, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

Laura feels passionate about comics and super heroes.

“Sharing our passion for comics is incredible,” she said. “This is the first-year Superior Superhero Stuff celebrates FCBD. “

The Store has titles ranging from Doctor Who to Wonder Woman and Laura wants to encourage everyone to stop by the store May 6 to collect your free comic book.

Free Comic Book Day kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs until 7 p.m. or until they are out of the free comics at Superior Superhero Stuff. The store is located at 161 W. Main Street. Call (520) 827-9190, visit or follow Superior Superhero Stuff on Facebook for more information.
