Florence- Pinal County governmental offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. This is a change from previous years when Pinal County was closed for Thanksgiving and opened the following Friday.
On August 28, the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to give employees the day after Thanksgiving off instead of observing the Columbus Day holiday in October. The 51st Arizona Legislature allowed counties to change holidays under House Bill 2112.
Public Safety will not be affected by the change in holidays.
Pinal County Animal Care and Control will be closed on Saturday, November 30.
