Superior Panthers
The Panthers started their season last week with consecutive wins before suffering a surprising loss at home last Friday against Ft. Thomas, 62 – 49. In the Panthers’ season-opening 59 – 44 home victory against Duncan last Thursday, Marcos Bueno scored a game-high 16 points and was one of three Panthers to score in double figures. Jalon Murray finished with 13 points while Austin Navarrette added 12. Both Bueno and Murray recorded double-doubles in the win after grabbing 10 and 11 rebounds, respectively. Edgar Galindo, a senior, also had 10 rebounds in the win.
Upcoming schedule: Dec. 8 vs. Bowie/San Simon, Dec. 9 vs. North Phx Prep (5 PM), Dec. 12 vs. Baboquivari, and Dec. 13 at NFL Yet Academy. All games are scheduled for 7 PM unless otherwise noted.
