Miracle on Main Street – parade prizes increased

2017 Miracle on Main St.

  The Superior Optimist Club has announced that they will be increasing the prize money for first, second and third place winners for the upcoming holiday light parade, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14, 2018. 

  First prize will be $200, second place will be $150 and third place is $75. 

  The theme this year is “Christmas Around the World.”  The parade and visits with Santa will be held in conjunction with Second Friday events on Main Street.  You can register your parade entry online at: http://bit.ly/2018LightParade or you can contact Mila Besich at 520-827-0676.

  Local non profits wishing to host a fundraising food booth should contact JoAnn Besich as soon as possible at 520-827-0592.  County health regulations require additional paperwork and timelines, Food booths must be registered no later than Nov. 28, 2018.  Booth fees are $20.00 if booth proceeds are not benefitting a non-profit organization.  Game and retail booths are also encouraged, please register with JoAnn no later then Dec., 10, 2018.

  Parade line up will begin at 6 p.m. on Magma Ave. and the parade will begin at 7 p.m.  This year the parade will not travel through Sunset due to the change of day from Saturday to Friday.
