The Superior girls’ basketball team ended its five-game losing streak, defeating San Manuel last Wednesday on the road, 32 – 17. The Panthers’ last win came on Dec. 9 against, coincidentally, the Lady Miners.

The 32 points scored in the game by Superior surpassed the combined total points of their last three games – 29.

After defeating Hayden in their last game before the holiday break and winning the first two games afterwards, the Lady Miners have dropped three-straight games. They’ve averaged less than 20 ppg during the losing streak.

Superior’s upcoming schedule: Jan. 23 vs. Joseph City and Jan. 27 at Hayden.

San Manuel’s upcoming schedule: Jan. 22 at Immaculate Heart and Jan. 27 at Ray.

All games are scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
