The defending champion Superior softball team rebounded from its second loss of the season on Apr. 8 against Apache Junction with lopsided wins at San Carlos and Ft. Thomas last week.
Senior ace Ivie Lopez surrendered only four hits in a complete-game 11 – 0 victory against Ft. Thomas last Thursday. She walked one and whiffed eight in the shutout performance.
The top-ranked Lady Panthers got three hits and four RBI from Phalicitee Thomas, including her sixth homerun of the year. Lindsay Ketron went 2-for-3, including a double, with two RBI.
Upcoming schedule: Apr. 19 vs. Alchesay Apr. 21 at Pima, Apr. 26 at Hayden, and Apr. 27 vs. Ray. All games are scheduled for 4 p.m.
