Superior Panthers

The Lady Panthers’ basketball team had lost its first six games of the season without scoring more than 15 points in any game. That all changed in the Lady Panthers’ seventh game, where they scored a season-high 25 points, leading them to a 25 – 5 victory against NFL Yet Academy on Dec. 13.

Senior Maribel Castro and freshman Julissa Garcia each scored a game-high seven points in the win. Marlee Estatico, another freshman, finished with four points in the contest.

Castro also had a game-high 10 rebounds while Estatico ended with nine. Sophomore Anisah Cardenas had five of the Lady Panthers’ 17 steals in the game.

Upcoming schedule:  Jan. 10 vs. Hayden at 5:30 p.m.
