The sixth-ranked San Manuel softball team is 5 – 1 in its last six games and has given up only five runs in the five wins, which included a pair of shutouts.
Last week, the Lady Miners defeated St. Augustine and Hayden by a combined score of 28 – 1.
Freshman Dine Miller homered and drove in three runs in a 16 – 1 win against St. Augustine on Apr. 10. Brianna Madrid and Brianna Galarza each went 4-for-4 with two RBI in the win. Gabriella Estrada had three hits, including a double and an RBI as well.
Sophomore Taya Dockum picked up her first win of the year, throwing a complete-game gem, where she allowed a solo earned run on four hits with eight strikeouts and a walk.
