The San Manuel Elks Lodge was full of kids and their parents who came to visit Santa Claus on Sunday, Dec. 14. All the kids received a stocking full of goodies and had their picture taken with Santa. The stockings were handmade and donated by ladies in the community and a quilting group from around the country. Everyone enjoyed cookies and punch.

The kid’s Christmas party was sponsored by and put on by the San Manuel Elks Lodge, Rotary, Los Nino’s Day Care, Mammoth-San Manuel Community Schools, and Copper Town Days. Tom Miller said he would like to give “a big heartfelt thank you to everybody that donated and helped make it a success”.

The San Manuel Elk’s Lodge also will be delivering gifts to our veterans at the V.A. Hospital in Tucson, a veteran’s home and the Marshall Home for Men. The Elks raised nearly $8,000 worth of gifts and with the assistance of ten other Elks clubs will bring some joy and comfort to our veterans this Christmas.
