On Wednesday, Jan. 21 the Central Junior High League Wrestling Championships were held at the San Manuel High School gym. Five teams competed in the event. The Eloy Blue Devils were the team champions followed by Globe, San Manuel, Hayden and Mountain Vista.

The individual winners by weight class were:

68 lbs.: First Place – Bryant Ogle, Eloy; Second Place – Mia Borg, San Manuel

73 lbs.: First Place – Mark Sauceda, Eloy; Second Place – Michael Guerena, Globe

78 lbs.: First Place – Gilbert Rodriguez, Mt. Vista; Second Place – Axel Sanchez, Eloy

83 lbs.: First Place – Seth Durbin, Globe: Second Place – Joaquin Jimenez, Eloy

88 lbs.: First Place – Roy Sullivan, Eloy: Second Place – Dominic Barajas, Globe

93 lbs.: First Place – Tomas Silvas, Eloy; Second Place – Raymond Sneezy, Globe

98 lbs.: First Place – Ray Belloc, Eloy; Second Place – Omar Lopez, Hayden

104 lbs.: First Place – Hunter Ogle, Eloy; Second Place – Chad Vanbuskirk, Globe

111 lbs.: First Place – Julian Garcia, Eloy; Second Place – Tino Barragan, Hayden

118 lbs.: First Place – Julian Rodriguez, San Manuel; Second Place – Xavier Martinez, Globe

125 lbs.: First Place – Luke Burgett, Globe: Second Place – Michael Martinez, San Manuel

133 lbs.: First Place – Andres Jimenez, Eloy; Second Place – Ray Ahumada, San Manuel

142 lbs.: First Place – Francisco Curry, San Manuel; Second Place – Ruben Escalante, Eloy

154 lbs.: First Place – Noah Monroy, Hayden; Second Place – Mauricio Lopez, Eloy

167 lbs.: First Place – Joel Rodriguez, Hayden; Second Place – Reno Monteros, Mt. Vista

180 lbs.: First Place – Thomas Quintero, Globe; Second Place – Dayln Chase, Globe

Heavyweight: First Place – Brandon Skaggs, Globe; Second Place – Jesus Gonzalez, San Manuel
