PINAL COUNTY – Central Arizona College has named Jessica Moncada the 2015 Student Employee of the Year. Jessica works at the college’s Help Desk located at the Signal Peak Campus.

Moncada’s goal is to become a Speech Pathologist. She is currently completing coursework at CAC to obtain an Associate of Science degree. She then plans to transfer to Northern Arizona University to major in Speech Pathology.

Moncada began her career at CAC by participating in a number of the high school outreach programs the college offers. Through these opportunities she was able to earn college credit before she became a full time student. She graduated in 2014 from Mission Heights Preparatory High School in Casa Grande, AZ, where she received the Optimist award and several Principal’s awards.

“Some of my best memories of Central Arizona College are getting to meet new people from all around the world and building friendships with both students and professors,” stated Jessica.

In addition to her CAC studies and work assignments, Moncada is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa. When she is not busy with school and work, she enjoys taking long hikes and enjoys swimming.

Ann Mitchell, Coordinator of Student Employment commented, “We are proud of Jessica for all of her accomplishments, both academically and on the job. Central Arizona College has provided Jessica with the quality education that will ensure her success at the university level.”
