Located on Main Street in downtown Superior is a unique store called The Salvage Company. It is filled with lots of antique and refurbished treasures for your home and garden. It is also a one of a kind shop to find those rustic pieces you may need to finish your own do it yourself (DIY) project if you are looking for old barn wood, rustic tin or other industrial like materials. Here’s a little more information about The Salvage Company on how they found Superior and they types of services and products they provide.
How Did you Find Superior?Pat Dickenson has been an interior decorator for 25 years. She started off selling furniture with a friend at a barn show and eventually opened her business full time. In the past year she and her daughter-in-law decided to have a permanent retail space. They started to look in the East Valley but could not quite find what they wanted and started looking at smaller towns and found Superior. “We loved it and we went with it,” explained Pat. Pat’s daughter-in-law Jodi Williams Helmer has been with The Salvage Co. for at least 10 years.
What types of services and products do you provide? The Salvage Company provides interior design services for homes and commercial properties. When they create the design they also complete the work to install the design. The store front in Superior also offers DIY classes from bring-your-own-piece to classes where the Salvage Co. provides a piece of furniture to paint or distress.
With such a unique and diverse amount of materials and products in their store they will buy from those wishing to sell used, old or rustic items. They also have shoppers in Nebraska, Kansas and occasionally the family takes trips to Mexico to find other unique products.
Hours of Operation:The store is open Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays mostly and also is open during the Second Friday Events from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The hours are not always regular due to the shows they often attend throughout the state.
