The Hayden wrestling team competed at Fountain Hills last Wednesday, defeating Mogollon (33 – 27), Benjamin Franklin (34 – 24), and San Tan Foothills (45 – 0) before the Payson Longhorns dealt the Lobos their lone loss, 51 – 9.
A total of eight Lobo wrestlers combined to go 23 – 9, which included four wins by Mikee Mariscal and three each by Ryan Donovan, Noah Monroy, Brandon Cruz, Peter Kame and Joel Rodriguez, who did not lose a match at the meet.
The Lobos will next wrestle at San Carlos on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
