It’s time to get your scary on! Friday is the annual costume parade and Trunk or Treat.

The annual Halloween parade and trunk or treat event will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. Parade line up is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the corner of Main St. and Magma Ave. The parade will end near the VFW where there will be a costume contest, trunk or treating and other activities for the family.

There will be prizes for first, second and third place in each age group. This year there will also be a pet costume contest and an entry level for adults. Prizes will be awarded at the event.

Businesses and families are encouraged to participate in trunk or treat by decorating their vehicle trunks and handing out candy to the costumed participants.

The VFW will be hosting Kids Karaoke following the parade along with other activities.

The event is being hosted by the VFW Truman Post 3584 and the Superior Optimist Club with support from the Superior Substance Abuse Coalition.

Event organizers want to remind everyone that the actual holiday of Halloween is Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, normal trick or treating activities will continue for those residents who wish to give treats from their homes.
