On Tuesday, Dec. 16 the Concerned Citizens and Retired Miners hosted a peaceful protest in opposition to the recent passage of the Southeast Arizona Land Exchange and Conservation Act. The group has opposed the land exchange and opening of the Resolution Copper Project. Members of the group along with tribal leaders from the San Carlos Apache Tribe traveled to Phoenix on Friday to protest in front of the Rio Tinto offices and the office of Senator John McCain.
