Carlson wins Doc Verner Memorial Junior Golf Tournament

Tatyana Carlson won the Junior Club Championship by winning the Doc Verner Memorial Tournament on Wednesday. Pictured with Carlson (left to right) Joey Dendary (Winnemucca Golf Pro), Nick Verner, Derek Verner and Dennis Verner.

Tatyana Carlson took home the Junior Club Championship by winning the Doc Verner Memorial Junior Golf Championship. She won with a round of 81. The tournament took place earlier in the month at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course.

  Nearly 35 junior golfers competed in the tournament.

  Megan Li was second in the girls 15 to 17-year-old division with a round of 87 and McKenzie Vandemark (158) was third

  Tatyana is the granddaughter of Nacho and Dora Villaverde of Superior.
