The Ray football team entered last week’s game versus rival Hayden winless in their first three games of the season, which were all lopsided losses. But the Cats were apparently motivated to spoil Hayden’s home opener, defeating the Lobos 30 – 14 to pick up their first win of the year.
Hayden has now lost two games in-a-row after a season opening win at Arete Prep.
The Lobos will look to end their losing streak at Chandler Prep this Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Ray has a bye this week, giving them two weeks to prepare for sixth-ranked Superior on Sept. 25.
