SAN MANUEL – As part of continued efforts to ensure reliable electric service to customers, APS will be performing electrical upgrades on infrastructure that helps serve customers in the San Manuel area. This work will require three planned power outages.
Each outage is scheduled to be no longer than three hours in duration. These planned outages will take place from midnight to 3 a.m. on Monday, March 14; Monday, March 21; and Monday, March 28.
“We work year round on maintaining the area’s power system,” said Mike Smith, APS Southeast Division Manager. “While the majority of work is completed without disruption to customers, occasionally there is a job too dangerous to complete with the lines energized. We will take all steps necessary to complete work in a timely manner.”
For customers who will be impacted by these planned outages, APS recommends the following:
• Keep refrigerators and freezers closed as much as possible
• Before the scheduled start of the outage, turn off or unplug sensitive electronic equipment such as computers, audio/visual equipment, etc.
• Notify your security monitoring system if you have one.
APS, Arizona’s largest and longest-serving electricity utility, serves nearly 1.2 million customers in 11 of the state’s 15 counties. With headquarters in Phoenix, APS is the principal subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital Corp. (NYSE: PNW).
