Havin' fun in the sun and stayin' cool in the pool … Summer fun is waiting at the Hayden Pool

Hey kids, of all ages! Youngsters and young-at-heartsters: our good friends Splish and Splash are in town and they are having a pay-to-play pool party, all summer long. You are invited! Don’t forget, it’s B.Y.O.B. That’s bathing suit, kiddies!

Think of all that lovely, cool water sluicing over your heat-soaked frame, watching the fun as the daring divers take their leap of faith, off the end of the board and down into the mysterious depths. Think of all the people watching, meeting up with friends, and drying off during break time before plunging back in and experiencing the bliss that is summertime swimming, that is to be had!

Head over to the Hayden Pool where you can swim to your heart’s content Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon – 5 p.m and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.; and Saturday, noon – 5 p.m.

Don’t know how to swim? The next session of summer swim lessons at the Hayden Pool starts June 18. Sign up at the pool or come in for more information.

And if you live in Kearny, don’t despair. The Kearny Pool is not open yet due to the severe shortage of water. Margaret at Town Hall has said that the wonderful folks at Asarco have made a generous donation to help get the pool up and running, but everyone will have to wait until some details can be ironed out.

In the meantime, why not enjoy the cool, refreshing water at the Hayden Pool? It’s open for everyone in the Copper Basin Area.
